Hi, hier noch eine Info, die nicht direkt mit dem Threadttitel, aber umso mehr mit dem eigentlichen Inhalt zu tun hat
Vielleicht wäre es sinnvoll, Teile des Threads abzukoppeln !?
Simon Phillips:
"We’ve been working on a new prototype cymbal which is a lot more like the 60`s and 70’s vintage Zildjians. Due to the manufacturing process, pretty much anything in the world now, especially instruments, are different. One of the reasons is, they have to be different because the laws have changed, laws of waste, laws of energy. Also demand, they make a lot more now, there is a lot more automation involved.
So therefore I’ve noticed the change in cymbals. A lot of the cymbals I own are actually quite old. Unlike some drummers, I don’t use lots of new cymbals. I prefer my old sets. I take care of them, and I very rarely break a cymbal. We try to keep them nice and clean, but they are quite old. Consequently, when I get new cymbals, they are just so different. I’ve been complaining a little bit to Zildjian about this, so they’ve decided to come up with a new range of cymbals which are more like the old ones of the late 60’s [A. Zildjian & Cie. Cymbals]."
