News update - 4th sept
Its been an awful year and a half ...
Today is the first time I've looked at this site since Jan 2008
my last post said I'll be off ill for a few weeks.
At the time i thought it would be a few weeks and after that I'd be fine again but a few weeks became a full stop.
In January 2008 i closed the door on this site and my involvement with anything to do with Kit toys cymbals.
Problems with my spine affected me physically and motionally to the point where I couldn't face building anything or deal with orders anymore.
I closed over night.
I felt bad about vanishing of the scene,
I had met a lot of nice people in the drum community
but I felt it was to much pressure to be part of it.
also being ill nearly finished me off as a drummer as well
I even had to drop out of gigs because i couldn't make it though the rehearsals.
The choice of "shall i quit?" was taken away
...it was just becoming "you have to quit !"
That's a hard one when you have played all your life
I was then left thinking what do i do now?
Now it's 18 months later
Its taken a long time but I'm back playing more or less
as i used to and I'm a lot better health wise.
I'm now considering whether or not to start building a few cymbals again.
They were very nice things that had a lot of design work
put in to them and it would be a shame for all that to come to nothing.
I will have to see... maybe before 2010 comes around
?
the first Kit toys cyms went out the door in 2004
How the years pass !
and in closing
Sorry to everyone that didn't get an email reply from my
hotmail address,
it closed down and i now have to reactivate it and start a new.
Lese ich das richtig? Er will uns quasi damit mitteilen, dass er wieder langsam ins Geschäft einsteigen will? Oder is mein englisch soooo eingerostet ?
