Hier ein aktuelles Statement von Gretsch zum Thema Jasper. Die Anfrage war von einem Kollegen, der sich eine Broadkaster Bassdrum nachbestellen wollte:
"Concerning your request for Jasper shells on your kit, while Gretsch has used Jasper as
a manufacturing partner over the past years and we're sad to see them close their USA
factory this year, an important fact is that Jasper has never actually been the sole supplier
of shells to Gretsch. From your message, it seams clear that your looking into investing in
a kit that is going to give you "That Sound" that drummers have come to expect and rely on
in a Gretsch Kit. Even with the closing of Jasper, we can assure you that the classic
Gretsch maple shell design has not, and will not change. Regardless if you bought your
kit a year ago or two years from now, the heart of your kit is going to by our classic six-ply
maple shell built just the way it should be. We will miss our friends at Jasper, but our
shells have, and will, remain the same.
Regards,
Gretsch Drums"
